The KidzSearch app is made by the same company that runs KidzSearch.com, which is a safe search tool used and trusted by 1000s of private and public schools, as well as parents at home. KidzSearch results are always Strict Filtered. KidzSearch provides safe web, video, and safe image searching.

All search terms are checked against our proprietary filtering algorithm and database for safety. In addition, websites visited are screened for safety before they can be shown. Users can sign up for an optional free account that lets them add additional websites or keywords they want blocked. YouTube filtering can also be set to standard safe search, YouTube Kids only, or blocked.

Parents and teachers can review the history of all websites visited which cannot be deleted or edited to improve monitoring. Website history can be searched using keywords, or you can just view blocked content.

In addition to safe searching, the KidzSearch app provides many other features students really enjoy using, such as finding safe kid-friendly online music stations, games, educator selected learning videos, a moderated Q&A forum called KidzTalk, a safe student encyclopedia, student news articles, top websites for kids, cool facts updated daily, a fully moderated safe social network (KidzNet) that lets kids read, comment, and even contribute news articles, and much more.

An academic focused autocomplete based on subject popularity helps students find the best topics to search. KidzSearch also has a proprietary keyword filter that blocks unsafe terms from being searched, including many spelling variations for added safety.

A feature called Boolify helps students learn how to search better using boolean logic (And/Or/Not) and a graphical interface teaching tool.

KidzTube is a popular section that is updated daily with handpicked best of videos that make learning fun.

Our kid-friendly 200,000+ article encyclopedia contains articles that are reviewed for safety with daily updates to keep it current. All entries are designed for younger student reading levels.

The Top Sites section is a great resource that has a fun graphical display of all the best websites for students selected by educators.

KidzSearch news and KidzNet feature age-appropriate news articles covering topical subjects in many areas. Kids can also vote on, comment, and contribute their own articles.

Our Cool Facts section offers daily fun facts on a variety of topics.

KidzSearch has been rated as a Top 25 Learning Website for Educational Quality by Common Sense Media and is the leading search engine used by public and private schools.
